Mobile access
Open your community website on phones and tablets
With Open Communities, people can open your website on their phone, browse published events and start a registration. They can also contribute to projects where you offer that option.
You and your committee can share one community website address. Public browsing and relevant account tasks stay within the same community, rather than using separate mobile-only records.
See how responsive community websites bring your organisation’s information and activities together.
From browsing an event to starting a registration
Someone opens your community website on their phone and finds a published event. They read its details, then follow the registration link to begin signing up.
The registration journey and related account functions stay within your community. For the full process, see event registration and QR check-in.
If your committee offers project funding, people can also open a project page on their phone and begin a contribution. Visit project funding to explore the contribution choices you can offer.
Use the right account for the task
Public visitors can browse your website and event information. Members who sign in can return to relevant profile functions, their own event registrations and available ticket details. The member account tasks page explains these functions.
Organisers need the relevant permissions for administrative tasks such as check-in. Signing in does not grant administrative control, and mobile access does not mean every admin task works on every device. See members and permissions for how your committee can assign responsibilities.
Return through a branded home-screen icon
On supported phones and tablets, people can add your branded community website to their home screen. They can then tap its icon to return to your website.
This is website access, not an app downloaded from an app store. The home-screen option depends on the device and browser in use.
For questions about a particular device, ask about mobile access. Include the device model, browser and your community website address.
Plan the experience for your community
The platform overview explains how your public website connects with event and committee administration. Visit pricing for current plans and service charges.
